Anritsu confirms commitment to TD-SCDMA/TD-LTE Support

- Anritsu Corporation is announcing it’s product strategy for supporting TDD (Time Domian Duplex) modes of operation in Wireless cellular standards and networks and confirms commitment to these standards. -

As the specifications for TD-LTE are being confirmed in 3GPP, and the deployment of TD-SCDMA networks is underway, the Wireless industry has a clear task to support the TDD technologies as they are being deployed.

Following the start of commercial W-CDMA services in 2001, Anritsu Corporation has become the world leader in W-CDMA test solutions for network operators, BTS vendors, and handset developers. As well as leading in W-CDMA, Anritsu also supports 3/3.5G test solutions, such as CDMA2000 and TD-SCDMA, defined in IMT2000. The product range includes signal generators and analyzers for TD-SCDMA wireless signals, base-station simulators required for developing mobile terminals, all-in-one testers (supporting RF and call processing) for high-yield testing on production lines, and handheld testers for installing TD-SCDMA base stations and designing cell coverage.

This year sees the rollout of Anritsu’s MD8430A Signalling Tester platform for LTE UE protocol tests that has capability to support both TD-LTE and FD-LTE, and TD-LTE will also be implemented into the protocol test system software tools (PTS and RTD). This integrated approach will provide FD-LTE and TD-LTE into a single test environment, and will help maximize R&D investment in mobile terminal development testing. In addition, the TD-LTE implementation into the LTE UE simulator, signal generator, and signal analyzer are all scheduled for rollout in 2009.

Anritsu’s full lineup of versatile test solutions helps operators and vendors assure early rollout of high-quality TD-SCDMA/TD-LTE services.
