Anritsu Announces System Contract for 3G Network and Service Quality Monitoring and Troubleshooting
Vodafone Ireland to deploy advanced solution for monitoring and troubleshooting of its 3G network and services
Anritsu Corporation, a global provider of operational support solutions for advanced and converged networks, announced today that Vodafone Ireland has awarded a contract to NetTest, now a member of the Anritsu group, for the delivery of an advanced 3G Network and Service Quality Monitoring and Troubleshooting solution.
Vodafone Ireland offers a full suite of 3G services to business and consumer customers including content-rich services such as video streaming and downloading, mobile TV, video calling and 3D games. The award-winning MasterQuest system from Anritsu will provide Vodafone Ireland with service and network performance information and tools for pinpointing the causes of potential, service-affecting trouble.

With multi-purpose session tracing capabilities ranging from dedicated troubleshooting to advanced data warehouse applications for service assurance and network optimisation, the MasterQuest system enables rapid and successful service life cycle management and improvement of service providers' operational efficiency.
MasterQuest is the industry's first systems-based platform that offers end-to-end UTRAN (UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network) and core UMTS network coverage. With consolidated and correlated statistics and troubleshooting across the UMTS network, the operational challenges related to optimising the service availability is greatly eased.
The MasterQuest solution will be integrated with other Vodafone OSS solutions, including Revenue Assurance and Customer Assurance systems for improved operational efficiency.
