I have a 69347B that someone put in Secure Mode Active. How do I get out of Secure Mode?

To return the 682XXB/683XXB to unsecured (normal) operation, press SYSTEM, then press Reset .

How long will Anritsu “fully” support the equipment after it has been discontinued?

We will support the equipment 7 years after its discontinuance date.   Pleasecall 800-Anritsu (267-4878) for that information.

We have a MG3692B that shows an option SM6260 on the back panel. We cannot find a description for this option. What is this option?

The SM6260 specialoffers enhanced pulse jitter performance (a.k.a. anti-jitter) in MG3690B signalgenerators with option 28 (or options 26x and 27) when using an externaltrigger. There is a Supplementary Data Sheet for thisoption that describes the option in more detail. Please contact Anritsu Technical Support ifyou would like to request this Supplementary Data Sheet. Signal Generator model number and serialnumber will need to be verified

We have a MG3692B that has option SM5815. We cannot find a description of this option.

SM5815 provides an external reference loop of the internal 100MHzreference signal, which can be used to tie two 69B or two MG3690A+3, twoMG3690B+3, two MG3690C with either option 3 or 3x units together or two MG3690Cwith SM6452, for phase tracking purposes. Two such instruments with common10MHz and 100MHz reference signals will have virtually no differential phasewander. Slight phase wander with respect to the 10MHz reference will stillexist, in the order of 5 degrees over 100 ms.There is a SupplementaryData Sheet for option SM5815 that describes the option in more detail. Please contact Anritsu Technical Support ifyou would like to request this Supplementary Data Sheet. Signal Generator model number and serialnumber will need to be verified.

How much does it cost for Repair and/or Calibration?

What is the maximum reverse RF power that can be reflected to the RF Output port of the 68147B? We cannot find this in the specifications.

This is not specified in the data sheet. The max reflected power the RF Output portcan handle is +30 dBm. This is the casefor all Anritsu Signal generators.

What temperature does the MG3690B/C series signal generator have to reach before it shuts down?

The maximum operating temperature is +50 degrees celsius. The units internal power supply has a temperature sensor which will open at some temperature above +50 degrees celsius and the unit will then perform a power down. If the temperature of the power supply sensor is lowered back to an operating temperature then it closes and the unit will turn back on.

Can the MG3692C send signals into loop antennas with signal input levels up to or close to +20 dBm?

The instrument will not be damaged by driving the antenna over the frequency range specified in the data sheet for the antenna. However, since the antenna does not present a 50 ohm load to the generator, the actual power delivered to the antenna will be different than that displayed on the front panel of the MG3692C. The user will need to somehow monitor the power to the antenna under the actual use conditions in order to accurately determine the power being delivered. The best way to do this would be to set the MG3692C power level to provide a given field strength from the antenna without regard to the numeric setting of the front panel level indicator on the MG3692C
