Allen, TX – March 14, 2022 – Anritsu Company enhances its BERTWave™ MP2110A sampling oscilloscope with a 25G Clock Recovery Range Expansion Option that simplifies production line product verification to lower cost-of-test during manufacturing. With the new option, the MP2110A can conduct accurate and repeatable optical-waveform tests of Fibre Channel- compliant 64G Fibre Channel (FC) PAM4 optical modules in a clock-signal-free test environment.
The enhanced BERTWave MP2110A addresses the need for higher accuracy testing required by the move from NRZ to PAM4 modulation driven by the introduction of 400 GbE. It also meets the
demand for high-speed interfaces in data centers to support the 5G rollout and continued emergence of IoT.
With the 64G FC clock recovery function, the BERTWave MP2110A extracts the clock signal from the measured signal to achieve extremely high accuracy necessary for PAM4 modulation applications. The enhanced capability builds off the MP2110A’s existing support for 400 GbE technology.
MP2110A Product Outline
The all-in-one BERTWave MP2110A combines a bit-error-rate tester (BERT) with a sampling oscilloscope for evaluating communications waveforms. The multi-channel sampling oscilloscope is ideal for configuring a versatile, cost-effective, customized test environment to improve production-line throughput using parallel simultaneous measurement with four high-speed channels.
The MP2110A is an efficient test solution to evaluate PHY layer performance of 25G to 400G optical modules, optical cables, and configuration parts used by data centers, core networks, 4G and 5G mobile backhaul, and 5G mobile fronthaul. It supports Ethernet, eCPRI/RoE, CPRI, SDH/SONET, OTN, InfiniBand, and Fibre Channel technologies.
