Anritsu's DualX KD7416DRWZ model has enhanced poultry filet inspection. This x-ray technology is unique because it analyzes two different x-ray energy signals at the same time, allowing it to distinguish between product and contaminant. Even overlapping products can be inspected without false rejecting. It also enables a higher detection rate of low-density items compared to conventional x-ray technology.

The DualX system is optimal for use in the poultry industry, and is well suited for detecting rubber, stone and bone. Upon reject, the raw material is removed from the production line, and is returned to one of the processors for cleaning. Once the filet is clean it will continue down the conveyor for further processing or packaging.

With industry input from customers and key equipment distributors to the poultry market, Anritsu developed the DualX solution with three main goals:
  • Detection of 2.0mm or smaller poultry bones; pulley, fan and scapula as the targets.
  • Virtual elimination of false rejects.
  • Ease of use by the owner of the equipment for product setup, system maintenance and overall system operation.
There are numerous benefits to using the DualX x-ray inspection system. Higher resolution imaging (0.4 mm HD resolution) improves detection capabilities and virtually eliminates false rejects. Low x-ray power (350 watt system) also provides better imaging capabilities. Running at lower power levels allows for the DualX Technology to improve upon contaminant detection, and component longevity is extended. Thus the operational power is lower, minimizing the overall cost of ownership.
