The Signal Quality Analyzer-R MP1900A and the Signal Quality Analyzer MP1800A series is ideal for evaluating 400GbE optical transceivers and optical modulators using the 32 Gbit/s PPG MU18302xA, and expandable 32 Gbaud Power PAM4 Converter G0375A with high PAM4 output amplitude and independent 3 Eye level control functions.
64 Gbaud 2-bit DAC with MUX G0361A in combination with the Signal Quality Analyzer-R MP1900A or the Signal Quality MP1800A series supports generation of wideband analog signals, such as high-baud-rate PAM4 signals.
In high-speed digital signals, a scrambling method is used with signals such as PRBS patterns to maintain a fixed transmitted signal DC Offset, to keep the ratio of 1s and 0s in the transmitted pattern, and to avoid too many contiguous 1s or 0s. An effective way of understanding the product characteristics is to run tests of Rx tolerance to contiguous 1s and 0s in an environment where such contiguous 1s and 0s rarely occur.
It is sometimes necessary for chip / module vendors to bias devices under test (DUTs) using an external Bias-T.
