Anritsu to Showcase Optical Test Solutions that Stretch from Lab to the Field During OFC 2014

MP1800A BERT Headlines High-speed Test Solutions for Signal Integrity, 400G+ Super Channel and 100G AOC Applications

Anritsu Company, a global leader in test solutions for high-speed optical communications, displayed measuring tools for the lab, production floor, and field in its booth at OFC 2014, March 11-13, in San Francisco, CA. Headlining the product portfolio is the MP1800A Signal Quality Analyzer (SQA) BERT, which be shown in signal integrity, 400G+ Super Channel, and 100G Active Optical Cable (AOC) applications, along with the VectorStar™ MS4640B Vector Network Analyzer (VNA). Additionally, OFC exhibitors can see demonstrations on Anritsu’s handheld optical field test solutions for legacy systems and Next Generation Networks (NGNs).

At OFC 2014, we demonstrated how Anritsu test solutions such as the MP1800A and VectorStar address the stringent test requirements at every stage of optical communications and networking,” said Wade Hulon, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Anritsu Company.

Signal Integrity – Anritsu displayed its MP1800A 32G synchronized Multi-channel BERT and MP1825B 32G 4Tap Emphasis integrated solution that meets the signal integrity measurement requirements associated with physical layer devices and modules designed for transmission speeds up to 32G.

400G+ Super Channel – Network equipment manufacturers developing products to meet long-haul optical communication bandwidth demands associated with cloud computing need test solutions to verify designs. At OFC 2014, Anritsu showing how it meets that market requirement by displaying a 400G+ Super Channel measuring solution featuring the MP1800A configured with PAM4 converters.

100G AOC Test Solution – High-speed optical cables, including Infiniband™ EDR (26G) and 32G Fibre Channel (28G), will be tested using Anritsu’s multi-instrument solution comprised of the MP1800A, MP1825B, MP2100A BERTWave and MS9740A optical spectrum analyzer.

O/E Capability – The MS4640B VectorStar has be shown with the MN4765A O/E calibration module to create a lightwave analyzer that conducts fast, highly accurate and repeatable measurements to 70 GHz, for better characterization of optoelectronic components.

Optical Field Test – Anritsu showing its MT9083 ACCESS Master™ OTDR that features multiple wavelengths and options to satisfy any network testing requirement, as well as the MT9090 Network Master™, which be configured with a µOTDR module and Gigabit Ethernet module to meet specific test requirements. Both instruments address field market needs by providing technicians with compactness, light weight and ease-of-use.
