Anritsu A/S, a subsidiary of Anritsu Corporation, a global provider of operational support solutions for advanced and converged networks, announced today at CTIA Wireless Conference & Expo (April 5-7, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas), a new set of features to its rebranded, flagship MasterClaw and NetClaw product suites for comprehensive wireless service assurance and network monitoring.
Upon completion of a successful integration of NetTest, Anritsu now offers a more complete range of solutions for the entire network and service lifecycle of wireless and IP service provider. Frost & Sullivan’s recent analysis of world wireless network monitoring systems and protocol analyzer markets selected Anritsu as the recipient of the 2005 Frost & Sullivan Award for Product Line Strategy in recognition of its proficient products in the mobile wireless network monitoring market.
“With its flexible design and ability to leverage existing product iterations in newer generation products, Anritsu has designed for its customers and itself a 'win-win' strategy and thus is positioned for growth, which gives it an advantage over its competitors,” says Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Sankara Jambulingam. “Anritsu's wireless monitoring solutions help network operators reduce customer churn rates, lower network operating costs, assures smooth rollout of new services and ensures performance of networks at peak efficiency.”
MasterClaw (formerly MasterQuest) is an integrated service assurance solution providing an integrated monitoring universe that feeds a wide range of users throughout the service provider enterprise. Based on a unique cross-technology monitoring platform which covers circuit, packet-switched and wireless and wireline domains, MasterClaw now also supports the IMS version of SIP, which makes Anritsu uniquely positioned to help service providers in their migration to IMS-based network architectures and introduction of converged service offerings.
NetClaw (formerly InterQuest) is an advanced network and service performance analyzer to troubleshoot and optimize new and existing services across GSM, GPRS/EDGE, UMTS, and SS7/IP networks in a single box. In addition to capturing data, monitoring and troubleshooting, NetClaw efficiently tests the interoperability of different technologies, reducing operational costs, as networks grow increasingly complex. With the innovative NetClaw multi-user capability, it is possible for up to eight users to analyze different parts of the monitored network simultaneously and independently of each other, thus optimizing work routines while minimizing investment in other test solutions. The enhanced NetClaw analyzer supports full UTRAN on an improved, yet compact platform.
“We have taken our MasterQuest and InterQuest products forward not only under new brand names, but with new sets of features that deliver significant functionality to our customers,” said Thomas Jensen, vice president and head of the Service Assurance Business Unit of Anritsu. “By more completely addressing service assurance, portable troubleshooting and single-site monitoring, these successful and award-winning products are even better aligned with the long-term vision and strategy of Anritsu.”
