- A commitment to the global society in the field of human rights,
labor, environment, and anti-corruption -
Anritsu is happy to announce that it has joined the
"Global Compact" (Note) of the United Nation. It means that Anritsu
Corporation and its group companies support the 10 principles in the field
of "human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption", and perform
their business activities while fully embracing the principles of the Global
Compact.
In April 2005 Anritsu established the Anritsu Group
Charter of Corporate Behavior to fulfill its Corporate Social Responsibility
(CSR). This defines the values shared by Anritsu group companies. At the
same time the company revised the Anritsu Group Code of Conduct that
outlines compliance requirements for executives and employees to put it into
business practice.
The 10 principles of the Global Compact (GC) are
built into the said Charter and the Code of Conduct. Taking advantage of
participating in the GC at this time, Anritsu will enhance its CSR
consciousness and all Anritsu group companies will promote their CSR
activities from a global viewpoint. Anritsu will also make efforts to
contribute to solving issues in the international society and environment.

Note: UN GC started officially at New York head office
in July 2000 with the basic philosophy of 9 principles in the areas of
human rights, labor, and environment that UN Secretary-General Kofi A. Annan proposed at the World Economic Forum
in January 1999. In June 2004 the principle related to anti-corruption
was added and it turned into 10 principles.
