Anritsu Leads World with Most PTCRB-Approved Test Cases
-Anritsu Corporation is proud to announce that it holds the lead in the mobile world with most PTCRB*1-approved test cases for LTE conformance test systems.-
Long Term Evolution (LTE) is a high-speed wireless communications service supporting five to ten times faster (100-Mbps upload, 50-Mbps download) speeds than current 3G services. Carriers in many countries worldwide are planning rollout of LTE services, and key carriers in Japan, the USA, and the EU are starting LTE services in 2010.
Development of approved LTE terminals requires RF*2 and Protocol*3 conformance tests using PTCRB and GCF*4-approved test systems to objectively validate that the quality of terminals satisfies the LTE standards.
Anritsu’s ME7873L RF Conformance Test System (CTS) and ME7832L Protocol Conformance Test System for testing LTE mobile terminals have already received GCF approval and now these two CTS have received PTCRB approval for 30 (ME7873L) and 20 (ME7832L) test cases*5 supporting the wireless bands used in North America (Band 4, 13, 17, etc.). With these 50 new approved test cases, Anritsu holds the world lead in most approved test cases and the company is planning to further increase this lead to help assure the fastest possible time to market (TTM) for customers rolling out LTE terminals in North America.
■ ME7873L RF Conformance Test System
This is a test system for confirming that the TRx characteristics and performance of LTE mobiles satisfy the 3GPP standards.
■ ME7832L Protocol Conformance Test System
This is a test system for confirming that the handover procedures between LTE mobile terminals and base stations satisfy the 3GPP standards.

Organization determining basic validation test standards for network operations and mobile terminals to assure global interoperability between mobile systems and also decides frequency bands used in North America
PTCRB-approved measurement systems and measurement items guarantee that the test procedure and measurement accuracy match the conditions required for mobile terminal validation tests.
