The
construction of advanced information networks is continuing as we enter the
era of the ubiquitous network that enables access at any time, anywhere, for
anyone. The availability of third-generation (3G) mobile telephones capable
of high-speed data communications including moving images, wireless LANs,
optical subscriber lines and other advances indicates the growing momentum
of the shift to broadband in the communications system. Advances in Internet
Protocol (IP) technology are leading to the convergence of wireless and
wired telecommunication networks, and needs are expanding for greater
sophistication and integration in technologies, services and mobile phone
functions. These areas are where Anritsu is strongest and has many
achievements in test and measurement technologies. We will continue to
provide precisely what customers require for next-generation networks by
supplying "Original & High level" technologies.
The world has become a single market, and our
customers are taking a global approach to operating in specific regions.
Anritsu is implementing an innovative, market-driven, customer-focused
strategy. We are getting closer to customers by reinforcing cooperative
work-sharing arrangements among our product divisions in Japan, the United
States and the United Kingdom, increasing the staff in our marketing
organizations in Japan, North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania, and
building global technical support organizations to respond to the
requirements of customers.
Looking ahead, we will further strengthen global management to achieve
recognition of our core test and measurement business as the global market
leader from customers around the world. We will then apply a similar process
to other businesses to grow them into profit generators so that we can build
Anritsu into a global brand.
Anritsu will continue to deliver precise solutions
that offer high value to customers, and thus contribute to the realization
of the ubiquitous network that forms the basis of a secure, safe and
comfortable society. In addition, we will manage our operations with the aim
of maximizing Anritsu's corporate value.
