Richardson, TX – September 13, 2016 – Anritsu Company introduces a 40G/100G measurement card option that expands the analysis capability of its Network Master™ Flex MT1100A optical transport tester to support the generation and measurement of 100 GbE signals using RS-FEC, OTN, SDH/SONET, Ethernet, and many legacy technologies. A comprehensive field test solution, the Network Master Flex MT1100A can be used by engineers and field technicians to ensure transport equipment, core networks and data centers operating up to 100G are in compliance with the RS-FEC standard. The new module will be on display in Anritsu’s booth (#126) at Data Center World, September 12-15, New Orleans.
The Advanced Module MU110013A has various clock outputs at the CFP2 port to verify optical module quality. When the clock is input as a trigger into an optical oscilloscope, optical module waveform verification is supported. The module provides the ability to encode/decode IEEE 802.3bj RS-FEC for 100 GbE transport, as well as correctable/uncorrectable errors for threshold FEC tolerance testing. Installing the CAUI4 4-lane BER measurement option into the Network Master Flex MT1100A enables error insertion into each lane and BER calculation on each lane for easy module evaluation.

The Network Master Flex MT1100A supports all the latest communications network technologies. By selecting and installing up to two modules from a range of three module options, the all-in-one Network Master Flex MT1100A supports R&D, manufacturing, installation and maintenance tests of network and transport equipment operating at bit rates from 1.5 Mbps to 100 Gbps.
