Richardson, TX – August 25, 2016 – Anritsu Corporation announces that accredited certification lab Polinom in Russia is using the ERA-GLONASS testing solution from Anritsu.
ERA-GLONASS is a system that provides quick emergency support after a traffic accident occurs by using a GSM or WCDMA wireless communication network. As of January 2017, all new car models released in Russia must be equipped with an IVS (In-Vehicle System), which supports ERA-GLONASS. For ERA-GLONASS IVS verification, certification testing in a designated lab using the GOST R 55530-2013 specification defined by the Government of Russia using laboratory test equipment is required.
Anritsu’s test solutions are deployed globally and now has test equipment officially approved and used by the certification labs in Russia where the ERA-GLONASS service has been deployed utilizing the Signalling Tester MD8475A and its dedicated software MX703330E-031 MSD ERA GLONASS option. The Anritsu MD8475A Signalling Tester is a reliable and powerful all-in-one base station simulator supporting all the required wireless standards, and provides extensive support for testing 3GPP-compliant data traffic offload between different Wi-Fi® AP and UE. The MD8475A Signalling Tester also includes SmartStudio, an easy-to-use graphical interface software enabling simple editing call parameters, and easy creation and execution of fully automated test sequences.
Anritsu is a global leader in Connected Automotive test solutions and is dedicated to the development of a safe and secure society in the Connected Car and Driver Safety Alert fields when the safety and security of the automotive driver and passengers have first priority. The Anritsu MD8475A test solution provides a HIL (Hardware In the Loop) laboratory test capability to ensure the establishment of reliable wireless communication links to the vehicle.
