Las Vegas – September 9, 2014
Anritsu Company, a global leader in test and measurement, will showcase its industry-leading wireless test solutions in its booth (#3041) during CTIA Super Mobility Week 2014, September 9-11 in Las Vegas. Leveraging its participation in industry standards organizations and strategic customer partnerships, Anritsu has developed one of the market’s broadest portfolios of test solutions that support VoLTE, small cell integration test, eMBMS, and other wireless technologies and test applications.
Anritsu will display test solutions that can be used during development and manufacturing of wireless devices and chipsets, as well as field instruments for the deployment, installation and maintenance of wireless networks.
LTE Device Validation – To address the integration of Carrier Aggregation (CA) and Enhanced Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Services (eMBMS) into chipsets and wireless devices, Anritsu will display solutions to address test needs at the development stage for these products. The MD8430A LTE Signaling Tester is a fundamental part of the test solution for CA and eMBMS, and simulates up to four enhanced Node Bs (eNB) in a single unit, and up to two CA with 2x2 MIMO. Test scripting is provided by Anritsu's Rapid Test Designer (RTD) scripting software, with eMBMS content served through a simulated Broadcast Multicast Service Center (BMSC) from EXPWAY.
RF Testing – Anritsu's breadth of solutions to measure and analyze physical layer parameters in cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth and Femtocell environments will be on display at a station that features the MT8820C Radio Communications Analyzer, MG3710A Vector Signal Generator, MS2830A Signal Analyzer, and MT8870A Universal Wireless Test.
Battery Life - Various customer use case environments will be simulated by the MD8475A Signaling Tester in measuring device battery life/battery drain associated with common application usage models. Highlighted in this demonstration will be the real-time graphing and flexible report generation that have made the MD8475A the specified solution in several large Carrier Acceptance Test (CAT) programs.
VoLTE and ePDG – The MD8475A will also be part of audio quality and ePDG (evolved packet data gateway) demonstrations. The ability to conduct various VoLTE tests in a fully automated loop will be demonstrated, as well as the ability to conduct ePDG voice and data handovers to validate UE performance in WiFi environments.
Field Testing – To ensure operation of high-speed, high-bandwidth LTE networks, Anritsu will display the MW82119A PIM Master™, which uses patented Distance-to-PIM™ technology to locate the source of passive intermodulation, the MS2720T Spectrum Master™ with frequency coverage up to 43 GHz, and the MT1000A Network Master™ Pro, which is well suited for next-generation backhaul testing applications.
"Engineers are under intense pressure to implement more services by integrating multiple technologies while minimizing test costs and expediting time to market. Anritsu is committed to providing the tools necessary for the development and implementation of emerging technologies to enable our customers to meet their time to market metrics and subsequent high levels of satisfaction by our customers' associated eco-systems. At Super Mobility Week, we will demonstrate our market leadership and innovation by showcasing solutions that address current and near-term test needs," said Pete Alexander, PhD, Vice President and General Manager of Anritsu Company.
