New TETRA Capability for LMR Master S412E Handheld Analyzer Headlines Full Portfolio of Test Solutions that Ensure Operation of LMR and PMR Networks

Anritsu Company will showcase its LMR Master S412E handheld analyzer with TETRA analysis and TETRA coverage mapping capability as part of its public safety test solution portfolio that will be on display in its booth (#7000) at IWCE, March 26-27, in Las Vegas. The TETRA measurement capability is the latest enhancement to the LMR Master S412E, which is the most comprehensive test solution for deploying, installing, and maintaining public safety, transportation, utility and critical communication networks, including those utilizing the TETRA technology.

“Ensuring the successful deployment, installation, and certification of analog and digital Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) networks is integral to the safety of public safety professionals and our citizenry. Anritsu is committed to help validate public safety radio and network operation by developing a full portfolio of solutions, many of which were first to market and will be on display at IWCE 2014,” said David Witkowski, Product Marketing Manager, Microwave Measurements Division.

Public Safety Network Field Test Solutions

At IWCE, the LMR Master S412E will be configured with the MG3740A analog signal generator to demonstrate how the handheld analyzer can conduct over-the-air and coverage analysis of TETRA networks, as well as P25 Phase 2 systems. The diversity of the compact LMR Master S412E will be on display, as it will also be configured with the VNA Master MS2028C handheld vector network analyzer in a distance-to-fault (DTF) and component test demonstration.

Other field test solutions at IWCE will include the industry-leading PIM Master MW82119A with its unique Distance-to-PIM technology for locating passive intermodulation (PIM) sources. Anritsu’s interference hunting and coverage mapping solutions such as the BTS Master MT8220T, Spectrum Master MS2720T and InterferenceHunter MA2700A will be shown, as well. For testing optical links and fiber cable in public safety backhaul, Anritsu will display its ACCESS Master MT9083 OTDR and Network Master MT9090 handheld solution.

Receiver Testing

Test solutions to ensure public safety receivers operate according to standards in all conditions, including harsh RF environments, will also be shown in the Anritsu booth. The MS2830A and MS2692A signal analyzers will be conducting signal capture and replay demonstrations throughout the show.
