Live Demonstrations Showcase How Advanced Test Equipment and 100GE CFP Module Meet 100 Gbps Market Needs

Anritsu Company announces it will conduct live demonstrations with Opnext during OFC/NFOEC 2011 that will showcase the ability for an Opnext 100GE CFP module to successfully transmit data up to 40 km. The MD1260A IP/Ethernet analyzer from Anritsu will be used to simulate traffic in the demonstrations, which will be featured in both the Anritsu booth (#1913) and Opnext booth (#2115), and will highlight the full capabilities of Opnext’s 100GE CFP module and the MD1260A’s ability to conduct highly accurate analysis in 100 Gbps applications.

“Anritsu’s MD1260A has been designed to match the evolving testing needs in today’s rush towards 100 Gbps,” said Hiroshi Goto, Business Development Manager, Anritsu Company. “System vendors are engaging in a new challenge to bring larger broadband in next-generation networks, and Anritsu is providing test solutions to support this effort. At OFC/NFOEC, Opnext and Anritsu are showing a state-of-the-art combination of test equipment and compact optical modules to achieve these goals.”

The all-in-one, portable MD1260A 40/100G Ethernet Analyzer supports the latest high-speed transmission technologies, such as 40/100GbE, OTU3, and OTU4. It has all the functions needed for manufacturing and installing equipment and networks. Due to the MD1260A’s small footprint and light weight, it is ideal to bring to the most difficult test sites. The analyzer is easy to operate, with its large 12.1” touch panel and intuitive GUI. Its rugged solid-state flash drive assures protection from traditional wear and tear associated with remote test sites.
