We have an exciting opportunity for an EMEA Sales Development Manager to join our Anritsu Infivis Co Ltd (AI) Division! Within AI you will be working with the Sales and Service Team who promote the Company’s range of X-ray inspection systems, checkweighers and metal detectors for the food and pharmaceutical markets by providing a professional pre and post-sales support service to existing UK customer accounts, as well as generating new sales opportunities, in an environment where quality of product is a key factor and ROI is ensured.
This is a new position within the AI team and has the primary responsibility of developing and managing sales operations in the EMEA region outside the UK. You will be developing direct sales channels in core EMEA markets while effectively managing indirect sales channels in other markets in addition to ensuring we achieve the all yearly business targets.
As a key member of this team you will create and manage yearly and long- term Strategic Business Plans. This includes target market overviews with competitive analysis, identifying target segments and accounts as well as clarifying key events/ opportunities and risk/ threats to impact on the segments. You will be setting sales and service goals, analysing the goals and the current status of where we are with them. This will then enable you to see how you can reach those goals and mend the gap and actioning this programme. You will be responsible for developing and managing hybrid sales channels, this would be through building up direct sales structures in the core markets and controlling indirect sales channels to maximise orders. You will be in charge of developing and managing strategic accounts for Anritsu such as Nestle, Mondelez, Uniliever, Mars/Wrigley and other global/ regional major accounts that help Anritsu direct for market and product development. Finally, you will progress against these responsibilities and be measured by sales growth in the EMEA region, yearly budget targets, regional sales efficiency, project YTD and strategic program and project identification and management
To join us in this role you will need to have:
- In depth experience within the inspection and detection systems for the food and pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in establishing direct sales office
- Experience in managing independent distributors, representatives or agents
- Written and verbal proficiency in English
- Ability to develop and lead a regional teams
- Excellent interpersonal skills (understanding of the diversity of various cultures)
- Ability to communicate and present information at all levels of an organisation (both written and verbal)
- Ability and willingness to travel over EMEA region and to other regions
- Basic financial knowledge
- Computer literacy
It would also be desirable if you had experience in working for or with a Japanese company
