MT8852B
MT8852B

MT8852B Bluetooth Test Set with Basic Rate, Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) and low energy measurement capability.

The Anritsu MT8852B Bluetooth Test Set is the market leading RF measuring instrument for design proving and production test of a wide range of products that integrate Bluetooth technology, including; phones, headsets, computers, audio-visual and gaming products as well as modules. In production, a single key press initiates a measurement script that tests a device in less than 10 seconds.

8 Bluetooth Basic Rate and 6 Bluetooth EDR transmitter and receiver test cases are supported in the MT8852B Bluetooth Test Set. EDR test cases supported include Relative Transmit Power, Carrier Frequency Stability/Modulation Accuracy, Differential Phase Encoding, Sensitivity, and BER Floor Performance.

The introduction of the new Bluetooth low energy specification opens up a whole new range of applications including sports and fitness monitoring and health and wellbeing sensors. The new MT8852B low energy measurement option adds 6 low energy test cases to the standard product. These new test cases can be run as part of a test script so that test program creation is simplified and test times are minimized.

For audio measurement, the MT8852B supports all three codec air interfaces (µ-law, A-law and CVSD) on up to three SCO audio channels. It offers comprehensive testing facilities integrated within a Bluetooth wireless technology test set. Rear-panel jack-plug connectors provide analog inputs and outputs for all three audio channels.

The Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH) option facilitates analysis of interference from, and co-existence with, interfering signals such as WLAN. This option provides graphical displays of FER and masked channels when interfering signals are introduced, allowing optimization of hardware designs.

MT8855A
2.402 to 2.480 MHz

The MT8855A is the world's first test set designed specifically to perform high-quality audio measurements on products using the Bluetooth Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), the Headset profile, or the Hands-Free profile.

The MT8855A is the ideal instrument for both design validation and manufacturing test. Typical Bluetooth products that can be tested with the MT8855A include stereo and mono headsets, mobile phones, digital music players, integrated and accessory car kits, and desktop speakers. Accessory microphones and speakers connect directly to the MT8855A's audio inputs and outputs to enable the development of a complete test system. Module testing is also facilitated using direct connection to the RF and audio connectors.

After establishing a Bluetooth connection with the DUT, the MT8855A's integrated audio generators and analyzers are used to perform measurements including level, frequency response, and THD+N.

BlueAudio software, supplied with each MT8855A, is installed on a PC that connects to the MT8855A using a standard USB cable. BlueAudio serves as the MT8855A's front panel and is used to configure the instrument and display graphical and numeric measurement results. For R&D applications the Manual Test mode provides full graphical results, whilst an Auto Test mode is available for rapid and repetitive production testing with user configurable test plans, results archiving and report generation.

The MT8855A Bluetooth Audio Test Set is dedicated to audio measurements and compliments the MT8852B Bluetooth Test Set that performs radio layer measurements on Bluetooth modules and devices.

MS2830A
Signal Analyzer

OUTLINE
The MS2830A is a spectrum analyzer, signal analyzer and signal generator with top-class measurement speed at medium-class price. It has best-of-class dynamic range (average noise level [DANL]: –153 dBm, third-order intermodulation distortion [TOI]: +15 dBm) and excellent ±0.3 dB (typ.) total level accuracy using unique level calibration technology.

The MS2830A supports an optional vector signal generator (VSG) and can be used as a reference signal source for tests of parts' Tx characteristics or as a signal source for tests of Rx characteristics. Installing the VSG option cuts investment costs and footprint size. The IQproducer PC software generates waveform patterns for the VSG, supporting various communication methods, including LTE FDD, LTE TDD (TD-LTE), Mobile WiMAX, etc.

10 MHz and 31.25 MHz Modulation Analysis Bandwidth options can also be installed along with various measurement software tools supporting PC-free modulation analysis of various communication systems. For example, installing the LTE Downlink/Uplink Measurement Software and LTE IQproducer LTE supports Tx characteristics/modulation analysis for LTE FDD BTS and Rx characteristics tests. Installing the LTE TDD Downlink Measurement Software and LTE TDD IQproducer supports Tx characteristics/modulation analysis for LTE TDD (TD-LTE) and Rx characteristics tests. The measurement software options support key wireless communication systems, such as Mobile WiMAX, W-CDMA/HSPA/HSPA Evolution, GSM/EDGE, TD-SCDMA, CDMA2000/1xEV-DO, as well as 3GPP LTE FDD and 3GPP LTE TDD (TD-LTE). Additionally, there are general-purpose analysis software tools for modulation analysis of multiplex TDMA systems using BPSK, QPSK, π/4 DPQPSK, 8PSK, 16QAM, 64QAM, 256QAM, 2FSK, and 4FSK modulation methods. Combining these hardware and software options in custom configurations supports the perfect measurement solution for every need.
