Signal Analysis will never be the same again

MS269xA Series Signal Analyzers are the latest high performance signal analyzers for next-generation communication applications. The MS269xA Series Signal Analyzer base units include swept spectrum analysis, FFT signal analysis, and a precision digitizer function. Add options to incorporate a Signal Generator, to turn the instrument into a hassle free, plug and play, one box solution.

The MS269xA Series Signal Analyzers support a standard analysis bandwidth of 31.25 MHz that can be extended to 62.5 MHz /125 MHz with optional hardware. Using a patented calibration process, the multipoint amplitude calibration and the phase calibration result in a level accuracy of ±0.5 dB across a 6 GHz span. No other analyzer on the market can meet that specification! These boxes are superlative in every way -- they measure the widest signals and using the latest technology, make measurements faster than ever before. The modular architecture ensures a box that grows as measurement requirements change.

A series of options enables standards-based modulation analysis, vector signal generation, and BER measurement. The end-user can configure a one-box solution that dramatically reduces cost, footprint, and Total Average Cycle Time (TACT) for device evaluation.

The MS269xA Series Signal Analyzers are accurate enough for the most demanding R&D environment, yet are fast enough for the factory floor! Currently supported applications include GSM, GPRS, EDGE, W-CDMA, mobile WiMAX, and LTE.

The wideband FFT signal analyzer (analysis bandwidth of 31.25 MHz with option for 62.5 MHz /125 MHz) supports high-speed continuous measurements including CCDF, frequency vs. time, spectrum, and power vs. time analysis. The standard digitizing function can capture waveforms and immediately play them out using the optional Signal Generator. An extended digitizer option adds the ability to capture signals up to 20 MHz wide for up to 4 hours.

MT9083A
MT9083A

Until now, installing and maintaining optical networks required technicians to carry a variety of equipment which was not only cumbersome, but also expensive. Hearing this common complaint, Anritsu engineers have developed their new line of MT9083 ACCESS Master OTDRs. The MT9083A test sets are designed to make your measurement experience simple and error-free with true one-button fault location, pass/fail classification, automated file saving and naming and even a macrobend detection feature for identifying installation issues.  They feature multiple wavelengths and options to satisfy any network testing requirement: access or metro, FTTx or LAN...all without straining your budget.

For customers installing and maintaining metro area or core networks, the ACCESS Master offers an automated fiber construction application and multiple wavelengths including specialty applications such as 1383 nm for certifying legacy fibers for CWDM upgrades.

For FTTx networks, the MT9083 series provides both optical testing for optical splits up to a 1x128, plus quality of service (QoS) verification via the IP testing option. With the IP option, continuity, download speed, throughput and frame loss of Gigabit Ethernet links can be verified up to full line rate. It also features a unique way to troubleshoot live PON based, FTTx networks without additional costly and complicated external filters.

Additional features include an integrated light source and power meter plus options to customize the unit including higher range power meters, visual fault locator (VFL) and connector inspection microscope to ensure complete network evaluation with a single tool.

MT9090A
Network Master

Purpose-Built for Technicians
Until now, the right tool just didn't exist for technicians to quickly and cost-effectively isolate network problems. Traditional, dedicated testers did the job but lacked the ability to be upgraded when new technologies were deployed. Likewise, more flexible platforms were too large, too expensive and too complicated.

The new, palm-size MT9090A modular platform from Anritsu finally addresses all of these needs. Users can interchange different modules to configure the MT9090A as an optical fault locator, general purpose OTDR, CWDM optical channel analyzer or 10/100/1000MB Ethernet tester. Operation is quite similar between modules so the user is immediately familiar with operation.

Small but Capable
Despite its small size, the MT9090A does not compromise performance or features. With a high resolution indoor/outdoor display, excellent optical performance, innovative features and expandable modular design, the MT9090A Network Master is clearly in a different class than most other "handheld testers".

MS9740A
OSA

Improved Production Efficiency Reduces Measurement and Inspection Time

The MS9740A is a benchtop optical spectrum analyzer covering 600 nm to 1750 nm. The MS9740A offers high-performance optical resolution and high-speed measurements to support the needs of device and component manufacturers.

Waveform data can be measured and transmitted to external control equipment within 0.2s -- a 5x improvement over previous Anritsu models.

This enables optical device manufacturers to reduce costs and time for testing and analysis by:
- Improving sweep speed (measurement time), and
- Accelerating data transfer to control equipment after measurement

Combine these overall improvements with the ability to do basic analysis, and the result is excellent return on investment and improved productivity.

CMA50
Optical Loss Test Set / Optical Power Meter

Fast and easy-to-use, Anritsu's CMA50 Loss Test Sets are designed for both attenuation and power throughput measurements on fiber optic links. Anritsu engineers have used real life field experience to develop a product that produces the results needed in a variety of applications. Units are offered with commonly calibrated wavelengths and connector options to meet any testing requirement from FTTx networks to long haul telephony links to multimode LAN, and CATV.

The rise in unauthorized carriers, cross-polarization interference and other issues has made Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) an on-going concern for the SATCOM industry. Essential to the quick resolution of RFI is the ability to rapidly detect, characterize and geolocate the source of interference.

There are also natural transmission challenges. Ionospheric scintillation and satellite propagation effects from the troposphere can cause transmission problems. Engineers must understand these atmospheric conditions in order to design components and systems that can overcome them.

Engineers are also developing free-space optical communication (FSO) systems for high data rate, long-range, point-to-point links. FSO has been developed to meet the need for high-speed and tap-proof communication systems for both military and commercial use.

For all these reasons, SATCOM engineers must use test equipment that provides the most accurate stimuli and measurements. Anritsu signal generators, such as the MG3690C and MG37020A, have low phase noise, produce narrow pulses, and high power. The MG3690C also generates independent singlet, doublet, triplet, and quadruplet pulses to emulate multiple signals. The VectorStar premium VNA line offers the broadest coverage in a single instrument (70 kHz to 70 GHz), as well as high accuracy and stability.

For highly accurate peak and average power measurements, there is the ML249xA series power meter, which has a mainframe video bandwidth of 65 MHz and an effective settable sample resolution of 1ns in a high resolution repetitive sample mode. Rounding out the portfolio for measuring the RF performance of satellite components and systems are the MS2830A and MS269xA series of Signal Analyzers, which offer excellent dynamic range, low displayed average noise level (DANL) as well as high TOI.

Anritsu also has a full line of test solutions for FSO system design. Our optical spectrum analyzers, including the MS9740A, have the sweep time, dynamic range, and resolution necessary for FSO applications. Engineers also rely on our OTDRs, and Access and Network Master systems in these applications.

So, whether it is for commercial navigation systems such as GPS and Galileo, or military systems that aid in operations, accurate signal transmission is critical. With Anritsu solutions, designers of SATCOM systems and users can ensure their devices and systems are working to optimum performance.
