The Fourier transform has been used in many technologies. In microwave measurements, it provides a method for transforming VNA frequency domain data, into the time domain display.

This lecture addresses the properties of the transform process and shows how the various processing options are used to obtain optimum results for a given application. This program does not address the algorithmic details of the FFT.

 

Time domain data provides valuable data for the design engineer to develop a design and for the production engineer to substantiate the performance of the device or system. This presentation also addresses the properties of the VectorStar VNA and shows how the various processing options are used to obtain optimum results for a given application. Measurements of "Normal" 2-port Balanced Circuits using a 4-port unbalanced VNA can be made with accuracy comparable to the true-mode differential measurements systems. The Normal 2-port Balanced Circuit is a circuit which satisfies the displayed characteristics.

An intensive one-day instructor led training course that focuses on making PIM measurements (theory and lab). Everyone who passes the PIM Master PIM Measurement Certification Course will receive a Certificate of Completion along with a photo ID card, which demonstrates that you have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge of PIM Master operation and PIM measurements. The last half of the class is used for taking the hands-on practical exam, and the written test. In the hands-on exam, students will be required to measure PIM and troubleshoot faults in a given cable transmission line.
