When network data is available in real-time and in a concise, comprehensible and customized fashion, its use extends beyond network operations and becomes business intelligence. Product managers, network architects, and planners all benefit. Your data becomes your competitive edge - allowing you to fully realize your network investment.
Benefits:
- Single source of historical and real-time performance measurements
- Help optimize the availability of network resources
- Early problem detection – allowing preventative action before end-users QoS (Quality of Service) are impacted
- Individually customized KPI dashboard provides only relevant data
Increase your focus on customer service
With a combination of real-time and historical data, we provide fully customized, near real-time reports. This enables you to make simple trend analysis, and service quality measurement. Our Network Quality Monitoring gives you more time to focus on providing superior subscriber service instead of navigating a maze of data.
Instant data anywhere, anytime
At a glance, the dashboard provides you with the precise control layer and network data you need to make quick decisions. With the ability to log into your secure, customized view from any network PC, the information is available whenever you need it.
Prevention is better than the cure
Anritsu’s Traffic Observer provides real-time performance visibility and triggering alarms when quality drops outside normal boundaries. Network operations personnel view interactive real time dashboards to monitor network problems and irregular traffic situations as they happen, allowing preventative action before end-users are impacted.
Powerful, automatic trend-spotting
Dynamic, self-adjusting alarms, clearly visible on the web-based portal, automatically alert you to hostile network traffic. Our dynamic solution identifies emerging network intrusion patterns or trends, and automatically makes the necessary adjustments - ensuring optimum network protection.
MasterClaw™ is a probe based non-intrusive monitoring system designed to provide full end-to-end monitoring of converged networks, making MasterClaw the leading service and network monitoring system for GSM, GPRS, UMTS, LTE, SS7 and VoIP networks. Signalling and user plane data captured by the distributed high performing intelligent MasterClaw probes is turned into critical business and operational information. The data is available to the users in both real-time and via comprehensive reports.
As part of Anritsu's overall Service Assurance Solution portfolio, MasterClaw provides a set of powerful and intuitive applications:
Real Time Monitoring
eoCompass
eoCompass is an optimization tool for UMTS Access. It provides deep insight into the FR domain (coverage, interference, GIS). Principal features include geo-visualization of RF KPIs, Network and customer performance monitoring, RF and Service KPIs and alarms. Subscriber centric troubleshooting is possible via IMSI search and instant drilldown to CDRs and PDUs.
Dashboard
The dashboard area of the MasterClaw Portal provides an at-a-glance overview of network and service performance by providing the user a personalized access to the most relevant KPIs and trend graphs. The ability to personalize the MasterClaw Portal drastically simplifies the access to the information provided by the system, allowing different user categories to optimize the user interface and information set for their particular needs.
Data Ware Houses (DWH)
Based on non-intrusive probes, Anritsu provides full end-to-end network and service visibility across GSM, GPRS, UMTS, VoIP/SS7, IMS and triple-play networks. At the heart of this converged monitoring scheme lies the data warehouse (DWH) solution. Based on Oracle’s state-of-the-art 11g database technology, this eminently scalable data warehouse solution can meet the needs of any operator in terms of size, reliability, and response times. Employing a very large database (VLDB), the MasterClaw DWH solutions can process several hundred million data records a day, handling data volumes that in the case of many larger service providers approach 3-4 terabytes of total data in one single DWH. Using sophisticated correlation mechanisms, MasterClaw transforms raw network data, i.e. the correlated data records, into valuable operational and business information.
XDR Gateway
Anritsu’s xDR Gateway offers unmatched flexibility in terms of configurability, comprehensive protocol, and network technology support. The flexibility enables mediation of enriched and correlated value added data records towards many 3rd party systems like fraud systems and billing verification platforms. The data records are enriched by deciphering and identity translation servers (IMSI, TMSI, PTMSI, MSISD, EMEI). Using non-intrusive probes deployed network wide to feed structured data records to higher-level applications around the clock is what makes the the gateway unmatched. Unlike software agents residing in network equipment, hardware based probes are vendor independent and support a multitude of data record fields not available by other means.

Interface
|
Description
|
| Link and Message Statistics DWH
|
All interfaces and protocol layers supported by MasterClaw.
|
Link and Message statistics is a versatile data warehouse application that can display numerous of pre-defined counters from different protocol layers. As a counter-based DWH, the Link and Message Statistics DWH supports more than 100 protocols with different protocol stacks and layers.
|
| Network Call Performance DWH
|
ISUP
|
Optional reports offer comprehensive information for network performance and service quality monitoring across ISUP. The reports are applicable to both interconnect and core network monitoring. A set of optional reports covers payload-based voice quality monitoring (MOS).
|
| TCAP Service DWH
|
MAP, CAP, Camel
|
The TCAP Service DWH provides insight in to QoS performance for services carried over TCAP, such as MAP and CAP. It also provides traffic profile and distribution information across different application parts.
|
| GSM Access DWH
|
A Interface
|
Provides performance metrics for GSM access networks:
- Radio Resource Management focusing on handover performance.
- Mobility Management focusing on roaming performance.
- Call Control Management for call and SMS performance.
|
| Roaming DWH + Active Roamer DWH (add-on module)
|
MAP
|
Provides performance information for national and international roaming traffic, over MAP/CAP interconnections. The optional reports provide an overview of network resource availability vs. roaming users, and success/error tracking.
|
| SMS DWH
