MD8470A Signalling Tester
MD8470A

Anritsu Corporation (Hiromichi Toda, President) today announced KDDI Corporation's adoption of the MD8470A Signalling Tester as a test platform for inter-operability verification of the au mobile station.

KDDI Corporation is the first telecommunication operator in the world to introduce CDMA2000® 1xEV-DO Rev.A[*1] (including QoS[*2]) and BCMCS[*3] services. KDDI Corporation is planning to deploy advanced services such as IP-based video telephony service and simultaneous multicasting of large volume contents.

The MD8470A Signalling Tester is the industry's first network simulator that supports simulation of communications using high-speed data and QoS, major features of 1xEV-DO Rev.A, and simulation of data multicast utilizing BCMCS. Furthermore, the MD8470A supports a function for simulating multiple base stations. Combining these functions enables users to verify operation of mobile station in various communication conditions and thus contributes to inter-operability verification of CDMA2000 mobile station.

KDDI Corporation has already started verification using the MD8470A Signalling Tester as a test platform for mobile stations supporting 1xEV-DO Rev.A and BCMCS.

Anritsu Corporation continues to contribute to advancing and improving the quality of CDMA2000 services by providing test solutions for the development and manufacturing of CDMA2000 mobile stations.
