Background
On December 24, 2003, Furukawa Electric filed a suit
in the Tokyo District Court (No. 29331 at the Tokyo District Court in 2003)
alleging that 1480nm pump laser diode modules for excitation source
manufactured by Anritsu infringed a patent owned by Furukawa Electric (JP
2898643). For the past year and a half, Anritsu has consistently argued that
the patent is invalid, and denied liability of Anritsu's products for patent
infringement in the court. Both parties reached agreement on accepting a
recommendation by the Tokyo District Court to settle the dispute. |
